Accessibility
Buckden House was transformed into an outdoor centre in the 1970s, when accessibility for those with restricted mobility was not considered.
With our commitment to making as much of the residential experience available as possible to all those who can manage life in mainstream education, we are in the process of making Buckden House as user friendly as possible to those with extra physical requirements. So far, these improvements are:
- accessible shower and lavatory in changing area
- ramp access to changing area, and thus into main body of house
- wheelchair access for both archery area and high ropes course area (climbing wall accessible also)
