Orienteering ties in nicely with physical education and geography, with particular relevance to organisations interested in Healthy School status.

It can also provide a starting point for follow – on activity, as the skills acquired can easily be transferred back to school after a visit.

As well as being a part of the National Curriculum, orienteering is great fun! Combining physical activity with map work and navigation practice, we can begin with basics – ‘what is a map?’ – progressing up through a variety of tasks, to trying our professionally mapped courses which are in the grounds and around the local village.
